Tarneeb is a card game played by two teams, each consisting of two players sitting opposite each other at a table. A standard 52-card deck is used, and play proceeds counter-clockwise. Each player attempts to predict the number of "Allmat" (tricks) their team will win in a given round.

The player who wins the bid to declare "Tarneeb" (trump) then throws a type of paper onto the floor. Other players must then throw the same type of paper. The first player to successfully match the paper type wins the "Bamh." This continues, with each successive "Bamh" winner throwing a different paper type. If a player doesn't have the matching paper, they forfeit their "Tarneeb" option. "Tarneeb" papers are superior to all others; the player who throws the strongest "Tarneeb" paper wins unless a stronger "Tarneeb" is played.

The round ends when all players have played their hands. Points are tallied. A bidding team only scores if they achieve their predicted number of "Allmat" or more. If successful, they add the number of "Allmat" won to their score; the opposing team receives no points. If unsuccessful, the predicted number is subtracted from their score, and the number of "Allmat" won by the opposing team is added to their score.

If either team wins 13 tricks without bidding for 13, 16 points are added to their total. If a team bids for and achieves 13 tricks, 26 points are added. Conversely, if a team bids for 13 tricks and fails, 16 points are deducted.

The game concludes when a team reaches a total score of 41 or more points. That team is declared the winner.
