"Castle Doombad: Defend Your Evil Lair - Now Free on Android!"
Exciting news for fans of strategic tower defense games: Castle Doombad has made a triumphant return! Now available on Android as Castle Doombad: Free To Slay, this game was crafted by the creative minds at Grumpyface Studios and published by Yodo1 for mobile platforms. Originally launched in 2014, Castle Doombad has been reimagined for today's gamers.
Grumpyface Studios, known for their successful titles like Steven Universe: Attack the Light, Unleash the Light, and Teeny Titans, initially planned to release a remake of Castle Doombad. However, they decided to split the project into two distinct versions: Free to Slay for mobile devices and Classic for PC and console gamers.
Castle Doombad Classic, a remastered version of the 2014 original with enhanced content and features, is slated to launch later this year on Nintendo Switch and Steam. Additionally, fans can look forward to a sequel, Castle Doombad 2: Muahaha!, which is currently in development.
Let Loose Your Inner Villain in Castle Doombad: Free To Slay!
In Castle Doombad: Free To Slay, players can embrace their inner villain, indulge in maniacal laughter, and wreak havoc. The objective is to construct the most sinister lair imaginable while thwarting the efforts of those annoyingly virtuous heroes. In a refreshing twist, traps and minions are your primary weapons of choice.

The game is free to play, supported by ads and optional in-app purchases. Players can enjoy the full original game with 70 stages, daily challenges, and endless modes. There are over 30 traps to unlock and upgrade, along with more than 100 items to collect.
Additionally, there's an unlockable cosmetics system called 'spoils,' allowing you to adorn your Dark Lord and his control room with various evil artifacts and loot. These can be paired with your own equippable 'Baddie Bonus' perks for a truly personalized villainous experience.
Castle Doombad: Free To Slay also introduces a new roguelite mode, 'Dr. Lord Evilstein’s Roguevenge.' In this mode, players defend randomly-generated castle layouts and collect nefarious Nightmares that grant a range of villainous new powers and abilities.
