Equipping the Torch in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
To equip your torch, access your inventory. First, equip a pouch. Then, select the torch and equip it. Exiting the inventory, press and hold the down directional button (D-pad) to activate the torch (or press 'R' on PC).
A red shield icon next to the torch in your inventory confirms it's equipped. Remember, torches have a limited burn time, so carry spares.
Note: Simultaneous weapon and torch use is possible, but only with one-handed weapons. Two-handed weapons or shields are incompatible with torch use.
Why Use a Torch?
Beyond improved visibility in the dark, carrying a torch is mandatory in towns and settlements after nightfall. Guards will pursue and interrogate you if you're seen without one, demanding a Groschen bribe or imprisonment. Locals may also be less cooperative in the absence of a torch.
Obtaining Torches
Torches are readily available from general merchants in towns or by looting corpses and chests.
That concludes our guide to torch usage in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Check back with The Escapist for further game tips, including optimal perk selections and romance options.
