MazM's latest Android game, Kafka's Metamorphosis, offers a unique blend of family drama, romance, mystery, and psychological horror, continuing the studio's success with titles like Jekyll & Hyde and Phantom of the Opera. This narrative adventure delves into the life of Franz Kafka, specifically his pivotal year of 1912 when he penned The Metamorphosis.

Exploring Kafka's World

The game explores Kafka's internal struggles balancing his writing aspirations with his responsibilities as a young man, employee, and son. Players will uncover the motivations behind his iconic novella. Drawing inspiration from The Metamorphosis, The Judgment, The Castle, and The Trial, as well as Kafka's personal writings, the game presents a relatable portrayal of societal pressures, familial expectations, and the pursuit of passion. While exploring weighty themes, the game maintains an engaging, poetic style, avoiding excessive bleakness.

A Literary Gaming Experience

Featuring beautifully rendered illustrations and a concise, lyrical narrative, Kafka's Metamorphosis successfully bridges literature and gaming. The game is free-to-play and available on the Google Play Store. MazM is also developing a future title based on the works of Edgar Allan Poe.
