Three methods exist for extinguishing Campfires:

• Water Bucket: Simply use a water bucket to douse the Campfire.
• Splash Water Potion: A Splash Water Potion, though more resource-intensive (requiring gunpowder and glass), effectively extinguishes the flames.
• Shovel: The most economical and perhaps least-known method involves using any shovel (even a wooden one). Right-click (or use the left trigger on consoles) on the Campfire with the equipped shovel to put it out.

How To Obtain a Campfire in Minecraft

Acquiring a Campfire can be achieved in several ways:

• Natural Generation: Explore Taiga and Snowy Taiga villages, and Ancient Cities. Note: Harvesting a pre-placed Campfire requires a Silk Touch enchanted tool; otherwise, you'll only receive coal (two in Java Edition, four in Bedrock Edition).
