Monopoly GO: Understanding Swap Packs
Quick Links
Scopely has introduced an exciting new feature in Monopoly GO known as the Swap Pack. This innovative addition allows players to trade out unwanted stickers for those they need, enhancing their collection strategy before finalizing their additions.
Stickers are a crucial element in Monopoly GO, unlocking a variety of rewards including free dice rolls, cash, shields, emojis, and board tokens. The game features sticker albums that run for several weeks, offering numerous sticker sets for players to complete. In this comprehensive guide, we'll delve into the details of the Swap Pack and its mechanics, so stay tuned for more insights.
What is a Swap Pack in Monopoly GO
As previously noted, the Swap Pack is a fresh addition to the array of sticker packs available in Monopoly GO. Before the Swap Pack, players were limited to collecting five types of sticker packs, distinguished by rarity: green (1-star), yellow (2-star), pink (3-star), blue (4-star), and purple (5-star).
The game also includes the Wild Sticker, a versatile item that lets players claim any missing sticker needed to complete their sets, making it highly valuable. The introduction of the Swap Pack provides players with even greater control over their sticker collections.
With traditional sticker packs, players had to make do with the stickers they received. However, the Swap Pack revolutionizes this process by allowing players to redraw their stickers. This means you can swap out stickers you don't want before they're added to your collection. Notably, Swap Packs only contain three-star, four-star, and five-star stickers, ensuring you receive high-value rewards.
How Do Swap Packs Work In Monopoly GO
To obtain a Swap Pack, players must first earn it through participation in events like the Harvest Racers minigame, where these packs are often offered as significant rewards.
Upon opening a Swap Pack, you'll be presented with an initial selection of stickers. However, you're not obligated to keep them. The game offers you the chance to swap these stickers for other randomly selected ones.
You have three swap opportunities per pack, allowing you to fine-tune your collection. Keep in mind that swapping a duplicate gold sticker doesn't guarantee another gold one in its place. Once satisfied with your selection, you'll need to press the 'Collect' button to add the stickers to your collection permanently.
