Pokemon TCG Pocket Fans Request Overhaul of One Feature
Pokemon TCG Pocket's Community Showcase: A Visual Critique
Players are voicing concerns about the visual presentation of the Community Showcase in Pokemon TCG Pocket. While appreciated as a feature, many find the display of cards alongside sleeves underwhelming and visually unappealing due to excessive empty space.
Pokemon TCG Pocket faithfully recreates the physical Pokemon trading card game experience on mobile, allowing free-to-play access to pack openings, collection building, and battles. The game boasts a comprehensive feature set, including a public showcase for players' card collections.
However, the Community Showcase's visual execution is drawing criticism. Reddit discussions highlight the issue: cards are presented as small icons beside their sleeves, instead of being integrated within the sleeve artwork. This has led to accusations of shortcuts by developer DeNA, though others suggest a deliberate design choice to encourage closer inspection of each display.
Demand for Community Showcase Improvements
The Community Showcase in Pokemon TCG Pocket allows players to showcase cards with various themed sleeves, earning in-game tokens based on received "likes." The current implementation, however, falls short of expectations for many players. The small, corner-placed card icons within the sleeve design are considered a significant drawback.
Currently, there are no announced plans to address these visual concerns. However, future updates will introduce virtual card trading, expanding the game's social interaction features.
