Sims 4 Blast From the Past: Fixing Broken Items
The Sims 4's Blast from the Past event offers exciting rewards, but earning them requires tackling several challenges. One particularly tricky task involves breaking and repairing an object. This guide shows you how.
Week 2's challenge requires raising your Handiness skill to level 2 or higher, a relatively straightforward task. The difficulty lies in the second part: repairing a broken object. The game doesn't highlight broken items, so you'll need to create one yourself. While you can use the "prank" interaction, this requires a specific Sim trait, adding unnecessary complexity. A simpler method is to repeatedly use an item until it breaks.
The Ambassador toilet is an inexpensive option, making it more prone to breaking. Using it roughly a dozen times will cause it to malfunction, triggering the "broken object" status.
Once your Handiness skill reaches level 2, simply select the "Repair" option on the broken toilet. After a short time, the repair will be complete, resolving the Blast from the Past challenge.
