Stardew Valley: How To Get & Use The Crystalarium
Stardew Valley: A Comprehensive Guide to Crystalariums
Stardew Valley offers more than farming; players strive for profit, utilizing various valuable resources beyond crops and livestock. Gemstones, prized for their beauty and value, serve both crafting and gifting purposes. However, consistently mining for rare gemstones proves inefficient. This is where the Crystalarium shines. This remarkable device allows players to replicate gemstones and minerals, significantly boosting their yield. This guide details its acquisition and usage, updated for Stardew Valley's 1.6 update.
Obtaining a Crystalarium
To craft a Crystalarium, players need level 9 Mining skill. The required materials are:
- 99 Stone: Easily obtained by breaking rocks on your farm or in the Mines.
- 5 Gold Bars: Smelt Gold Ore (found at mine levels 80 and below) using a Furnace and Coal.
- 2 Iridium Bars: Mine Iridium in Skull Cavern or obtain it daily from the Statue of Perfection (then smelt).
- 1 Battery Pack: Charged by placing Lightning Rods outside during thunderstorms.
Alternative Acquisition Methods:
- Community Center Bundle: Complete the 25,000g bundle in the Vault to receive a Crystalarium.
- Museum Donation: Donate at least 50 minerals (gemstones or geodes) to the Museum.
Using the Crystalarium
Place your Crystalarium anywhere – indoors or outdoors. The Quarry is a popular location for mass production. It replicates any mineral or gemstone (except Prismatic Shards).
- Quartz: Fastest growth time, but low value.
- Diamonds: Longest growth time (5 days), but highest value.
To relocate a Crystalarium, hit it with an axe or pickaxe. If active, the current gem will drop. To change the gem being replicated, simply interact with the Crystalarium while holding the desired gem. The old gem will be ejected, and the new one will begin replicating.
By utilizing Crystalariums, players can significantly increase their gemstone yield, boosting profits and enhancing their relationships with Pelican Town's residents who appreciate valuable gifts.
