Artist's Eye is a tool that assists you in drawing or painting with real pens or pencils on paper or canvas.

Select a model image (such as a photo) and, while you draw, view your work through your phone or tablet (which must have a camera).

The model will appear semi-transparent over your drawing in progress, helping you trace the outlines. This method is similar to the camera lucida technique used for centuries ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camera\_lucida ).

For best results, attach your phone to a stable stand so it remains stationary, leaving both hands free.

This isn't cheating—it's a fresh approach to creating and learning.
