Um filme "R" dos EUA está atualmente em desenvolvimento, dirigido por Story Kitchen, a força criativa por trás das recentes adaptações de videogames como The Sonic the Hedgehog Films. As '80s kids who considered Toys 'R' Us one of the most magical places on Earth, we're honored to partner to create a film that will capture the spirit of adventure, creativity and nostalgia that Toys 'R' Us representa. ”

O filme se inspira em clássicos como a noite no museu, de volta ao futuro, e grandes, bem como crossovers de brinquedo para filmes contemporâneos como Barbie. Enquanto os detalhes específicos do elenco permanecem em segredo, Johnson, Goldberg, Timothy I. Stevenson e Elena Sandoval produzirão para a Story Kitchen, ao lado de Kim Miller Olko, que está produzindo para a Toys "R" US Studios.
