When an army leaps a thousand years into the past to conquer the globe early, their primitive adversaries prove far more than they expected. Lead the resistance with hundreds of warriors drawn from diverse cultures across the ages. Take direct control of a single hero, or zoom out to command entire legions at your fingertips. By blending grand strategic conquest with hands-on, interactive battles, this game delivers the ultimate fusion of gameplay styles. UPGRADES
The core game is free to play, but optional upgrades let you tailor the experience—choose your faction, your starting territory, and your scope. Release tension in fantasy skirmishes that pit any two cultures against each other, with as many warriors as your device can support. You can even edit every character in the world, though please note the game actively uses up to 1,000 characters that are regularly cycled and replaced.
CONTROLS
When controlling an individual unit, choose between the “Classic” one‑handed control scheme or “Dual Wield,” which assigns separate movement to each hand. If you’re new to these systems from earlier series entries, simply pause the action by hitting the dateline, then review the detailed “Controls” guide. Also watch for in‑game hints tucked inside scrolls and readable books.
Switch between team members anytime by tapping their health bar or directly pointing at them on the battlefield. Tap the arrows at the screen’s bottom to enter “Commander” mode—step back and direct any active ally by swiping from their position to a target. Whether you order them to move, engage an enemy, or collect an object, they’ll interpret your command as best they can. Keep in mind, though, they’ll act according to their own priorities and availability!
No matter your device or control style, you can always zoom the view in or out by pinching at the center of the screen.
MAP
In the primary “Campaign” mode, expand your territory by moving units from one area to any connected region. You may “fortify” a zone you already hold or attempt to seize a rival’s land. Note that only 50% of the units stationed in a territory are available to march—making offense more challenging than defense.
Inhabited territories can gain population after each round, so controlling more land is key to growth. Units also gradually heal over time, so rotating your active locations each turn is a sound strategy.
PERFORMANCE
Please be aware this is the largest‑scope game I’ve created to date and may demand a high‑end device to run at full performance. Consider lowering the “Population” setting to reduce on‑screen characters, or adjust other options under “Display” to optimize smoothness.
