PlayStation and Sucker Punch Productions have officially announced the release date for Ghost of Yōtei. On April 23, a new trailer titled "The Onryō’s List" was released, providing fans with a glimpse into the game's story and gameplay. This trailer concludes with the highly anticipated release date: October 2, 2025.

Ghost of Yōtei continues the saga with Atsu, a new protagonist set in the heart of Ezo (present-day Hokkaido). Driven by vengeance, Atsu seeks to hunt down the notorious Yōtei Six—the group responsible for the murder of her family. Her targets include The Snake, The Oni, The Kitsune, The Spider, The Dragon, and Lord Saito.

As a standalone sequel set 300 years after the events of Ghost of Tsushima, Ghost of Yōtei builds on its predecessor's success with new weapons, mechanics, and features, promising an enriched gaming experience.

Hunt Down The Yōtei Six Your Way

One of the standout features of Ghost of Yōtei is the freedom it offers players in pursuing the Yōtei Six. You can choose the order in which you hunt down these outlaws, tailoring your path of revenge. The game introduces an evolved open-world exploration system, offering more freedom and variety than Ghost of Tsushima. Familiar activities like the "Guiding Wind" return, and a new mechanic allows players to build campfires anywhere in the open world, enhancing the sense of freedom in the vast land of Ezo.
