Big news for fans of the Now You See Me franchise: Lionsgate has officially titled the third installment Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, and they've announced that a fourth film is already in development. This exciting revelation came from Adam Fogelson, the chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, during a presentation at CinemaCon. He also confirmed that Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is set to hit theaters on November 14, 2025, as previously planned.

Ruben Fleischer, the director behind the upcoming third film, has inked a deal with Lionsgate to not only helm Now You See Me: Now You Don’t but also to develop and direct the fourth movie in this successful action-heist series. The franchise, which has grossed an impressive $700 million globally, continues to captivate audiences with its blend of magic and thrilling heists.

Returning for Now You See Me: Now You Don’t are familiar faces Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson, who previously worked with Fleischer on his debut film Zombieland. They'll be joined by a new generation of illusionists portrayed by Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, and Ariana Greenblatt, along with Rosamund Pike. Fleischer's recent directorial successes include Uncharted, which earned over $400 million worldwide, and Venom, which grossed over $850 million globally.

The production team remains strong with Bobby Cohen, the original developer and producer of the series, returning to produce alongside Alex Kurtzman of Secret Hideout. Meredith Wieck will oversee the project for Lionsgate.

Adam Fogelson expressed his excitement, saying, “Ruben has delivered all of the twists and turns and sleight-of-hand that audiences expect from this franchise while upping the stakes and scale in every way. We can’t wait for audiences to discover what he’s done with the third film and are thrilled he’ll be making even more magic with us.”

Fleischer himself is equally enthusiastic about the project, stating, “Directing Now You See Me: Now You Don’t was as much fun as making any movie in my career. It combines two of my favorite things — heist movies and magic — and working with this incredible cast was truly magical. Of course, I want to keep it going.”

Despite the excitement surrounding the new films, IGN has had mixed reactions to the franchise's previous entries. Their review of the original Now You See Me gave it a 6.3/10, noting, “Now You See Me seemed so promising, but it squanders its cool cast and nifty premise on smarmy, shallow characters and a flimsy, nonsensical plot.” The sequel, Now You See Me 2, fared slightly worse with a 6.2 rating, with IGN commenting, “Now You See Me 2 isn't the worst magic act in town, but it's all flash and no substance.”

As the franchise moves forward with Now You See Me: Now You Don’t and its yet-to-be-titled fourth installment, fans can look forward to more thrilling magic and heist action on the big screen.
