Monster Hunter Wilds: February Open Beta Extends Hunting Opportunities

Get ready for another chance to dive into the world of Monster Hunter Wilds! A second Open Beta Test is scheduled for the first two weeks of February, offering both newcomers and returning players a taste of the action before the game's official launch on February 28th, 2025.

New Monster, New Content:

This extended beta includes exciting new additions not featured in the first test. Prepare to face off against the Gypceros, a familiar foe from previous Monster Hunter titles.

The beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Carryover and Rewards:

Character data from the first beta can be carried over to this one, and subsequently transferred to the full game. While progress won't be saved, participants will receive in-game rewards: a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm and a special bonus item pack to aid early gameplay.

Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto explained the decision for a second beta, stating the desire to accommodate those who missed the first and those eager for a return engagement. While ongoing development continues, the latest fixes won't be included in this beta phase.

Prepare for the full release of Monster Hunter Wilds across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on February 28th, 2025. Happy hunting!
