6 Cartoon Network Games Have Been Delisted

Jan 20,25

Warner Bros. Discovery quietly removed multiple Cartoon Network and Adult Swim games from digital storefronts, sparking significant backlash from fans. The sudden delisting, affecting titles like Steven Universe: Save the Light and Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time, left players unable to purchase these popular games. No official explanation was provided for the removal.

At least six games were delisted from platforms such as Steam and the Nintendo eShop on December 23rd, 2024. Each game displayed a brief message stating its unavailability for purchase after that date, attributed to either Cartoon Network Games or Adult Swim Games.

This action reflects Warner Bros. Discovery's broader cost-cutting measures, mirroring previous decisions to shelve films and remove content from streaming services. A similar delisting event occurred in March 2024, affecting Adult Swim titles, although public pressure led to some games being reinstated.

The affected Cartoon Network games include:

  • Adventure Time: Finn and Jake's Epic Quest
  • Adventure Time: Magic Man's Head Games
  • OK K.O.! Let's Play Heroes
  • Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time
  • Steven Universe: Save the Light
  • Steven Universe: Unleash the Light

Interestingly, some Cartoon Network games remain available, such as Cartoon Network Journeys VR and Monsters Ate My Birthday Cake, along with the soundtrack for OK K.O.! Let's Play Heroes. The absence of a clear explanation from Warner Bros. Discovery, Cartoon Network Games, or Adult Swim Games has fueled fan frustration, particularly regarding the removal of Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time, which many consider canonically significant to the show's conclusion. The oldest title removed, Adventure Time: Finn and Jake's Epic Quest, debuted in April 2014.
