Paramount Pictures has recently announced changes to its movie release schedule, causing delays for two highly anticipated Nickelodeon films: The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 2. These shifts mean fans will have to wait longer than initially planned to see these movies hit the theaters.

According to Variety, The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender, which was originally set to premiere on January 30, 2026, has now been rescheduled for October 9, 2026. This marks a delay of nearly nine months from what fans were expecting. This is the second time the release date has been pushed back, with the film's initial target being October 10, 2025. Paramount has also unveiled a new logo for the film, which you can view below.

No specific reason for the delay has been provided, but confirmed voice actors Steven Yeun, Dave Bautista, and Eric Nam are still attached to the project. The movie, set to explore the story of the original Avatar protagonist years after the series concluded, was officially titled at last month's CinemaCon. It's the first of three planned films set in the Avatar universe.

On the other hand, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 2 has also been delayed. Initially slated for October 9, 2026, the sequel will now premiere on September 17, 2027, extending the wait by almost a year. This delay follows the announcement of the sequel shortly before the first film's premiere in 2023. While plot and cast details remain undisclosed, fans can look forward to Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to tide them over until the sequel arrives.
