Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 5080 Gaming PC Launched at $2,399
Starting today, Dell is offering an incredible deal on the Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC, now equipped with the cutting-edge GeForce RTX 5080 GPU for just $2,399.99, including shipping. This price point is one of the most competitive you'll find for an RTX 5080 prebuilt system, especially considering the upward trend in pricing since the RTX 50 series debuted in January. At Dell, the only other prebuilt option with an RTX 5080 GPU is priced over $4,000. If you're considering building your own PC, good luck finding a standalone RTX 5080 GPU; you might end up spending as much on the GPU alone as you would on this complete system.

$2,399.99 at Alienware
This Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU, paired with a GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The Intel Core Ultra 7 265F Meteor Lake CPU offers a max turbo frequency of 5.3GHz, with 20 cores and a 30MB cache. It's cooled efficiently by a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler, and the system is supported by a robust 1,000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply.
The RTX 5080 is part of Nvidia's new Blackwell series, which has been notoriously hard to find. In our review of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE, Jackie noted, "If you already have a high-end graphics card from the last couple of years, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 might not be the upgrade you're looking for – its performance edge over the RTX 4080 is minimal, though DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation does enhance visuals in supported games. However, for gamers with older graphics cards seeking a significant performance boost, the RTX 5080 is a game-changer, especially if you're keen on Nvidia's AI enhancements."

New for 2025: The Alienware Area-51 Chassis
Dell unveiled the new Alienware Area-51 gaming PC at CES 2025. The chassis design is similar to the 2024 R16 model but includes minor aesthetic and cooling updates, along with refreshed components. The I/O panel is now at the top of the case, and the tempered glass window covers the entire side panel, eliminating the need for side panel vents. Air intakes are now located at the bottom and front of the case, promoting a positive airflow design that helps keep the interior less dusty. The internal components have been updated with a new motherboard, faster RAM, and a more powerful power supply to support the latest CPUs and RTX 50 series GPUs.
RTX 5080 and 5090 GPUs Are Sold Out Everywhere
The initial release of Nvidia's GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards sold out within the first hour of preorders. The RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 were the first to hit the market, followed by the RTX 5070 Ti in February. Similarly, prebuilt gaming PCs with these new GPUs are either sold out, have increased in price, or are facing extended delivery delays.
