Applin and Dynamax Entei to Debut in Pokémon Go This Month
Two Pokémon from the Galar region are making their grand entrance into Pokémon Go this month, bringing a mix of sweetness and fiery power to the game. From April 24th to 29th, the Sweet Discoveries event introduces the adorable Dragon/Grass-type Applin. To evolve Applin, you'll need 200 Applin Candy and 20 apples. Use Tart Apples to evolve into Flapple, or Sweet Apples for Appletun. These apples can be found randomly in the wild, especially near Mossy Lures, which might also trigger Applin encounters.
During the Sweet Discoveries event, you'll encounter wild spawns like Bounsweet, Skwovet, and the charming Delibird. Field Research and Eggs will give you more opportunities to catch themed Pokémon such as Munchlax and Cherubi. Timed Research offers Sweet and Tart Apples, with both free and paid options available. The paid version provides additional Mossy Lure Modules and extra encounters, including Applin.
Don't miss out on the Applin Headband and Apron available in the shop, and be sure to participate in PokéStop Showcases featuring themed Pokémon. If raw power is more your style, mark your calendar for the weekend of April 26th-27th for the debut of Dynamax Entei during the Max Battle Weekend. Keep your eyes peeled for a chance to encounter a Shiny Entei.
To prepare for these events, make sure to redeem the latest Pokémon Go codes for additional benefits.
During both events, enjoy several bonuses: an increased Max Particle cap, reduced adventuring distance to collect them, and higher Power Spot refresh rates. You'll also earn eight times more Max Particles from each Power Spot visited. Leading up to the Max Battle Weekend, a free Timed Research starts on April 21st, rewarding you with a Dynamax Sobble to help counter Entei's fiery might.
Gear up for both events by visiting the Pokémon Go Web Store for additional resources.
