Assassin’s Creed Shadows (AC Shadows) has achieved a remarkable launch, hitting a significant milestone right out of the gate. Ubisoft proudly shared via the game's official X (formerly Twitter) account that AC Shadows surpassed 1 million players within just 15 hours of its release.
Currently, AC Shadows is dominating sales on Steam, outperforming other recently launched titles such as Monster Hunter Wilds and Split Fiction. Data from SteamDB shows that AC Shadows reached an all-time peak of 41,412 concurrent players on March 20. The game boasts a "Very Positive" rating on Steam, with an impressive 82% of user reviews being positive.
At Game8, however, our review of AC Shadows gave it a score of 66 out of 100. We noted that while the game offers an expansive world with high production values, its mechanics could benefit from further refinement, and it deviates from the traditional Assassin's Creed formula.
