Avowed Multiplayer: All You Need to Know

Avowed: A Solo Fantasy Adventure – No Multiplayer Here

Avowed has been compared to Skyrim and The Outer Worlds, but one key difference is its lack of multiplayer. Despite initial plans, Avowed is a strictly single-player experience. This means no co-op, no PvP, and no player invasions. While companions will assist you, they are all non-player characters (NPCs).

Why No Multiplayer?

Obsidian Entertainment initially intended to include co-op functionality, even using it as a selling point for investors. However, during development, the decision was made to drop multiplayer to focus on other aspects of the game. While this might disappoint some, the resulting single-player experience is the focus.

Will a Mod Change Things?

Currently, no publicly known co-op mods exist for Avowed. While future modding possibilities remain open, creating a fully functional co-op experience is a significant undertaking. Obsidian themselves have confirmed they have no plans to add multiplayer post-launch.
