Rebel Wolves and Bandai Announce Partnership for Dawnwalker Saga
More details about Dawnwalker expected to be unveiled in upcoming months

Rebel Wolves, the Polish development studio founded by veterans of The Witcher 3's creative team, has secured a publishing partnership with Bandai Namco Entertainment. The agreement, announced earlier this week, makes Bandai the global publisher for the studio's debut title in the Dawnwalker action RPG series, targeting a 2025 release on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Dawnwalker is positioned as a narrative-focused AAA action-RPG set in medieval Europe with mature dark fantasy themes. Additional information about the game will be shared by Rebel Wolves in the coming months. Founded in 2022 in Warsaw, Poland, the studio aims to push the RPG genre forward with its emphasis on immersive storytelling.
"Rebel Wolves blends veteran expertise with fresh talent - we're excited to partner with Bandai Namco Europe, a publisher equally passionate about innovative RPG experiences," said Rebel Wolves' Chief Publishing Officer Tomasz Tinc. "Their history with narrative-driven RPGs makes them the ideal collaborator to bring the Dawnwalker saga to players globally."
Bandai Namco Expands Western Portfolio
"This partnership aligns with our strategy to strengthen our presence in Western markets," commented Bandai Namco's VP of Business Development Alberto Gonzalez Lorca. "By combining our strengths, we'll introduce this exciting new IP to players worldwide."

The creative vision behind Dawnwalker is led by Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, who joined Rebel Wolves this year after serving as The Witcher 3's lead quest designer during his tenure at CD Projekt Red. The game represents a new original IP developed by the studio's co-founder and narrative director Jakub Szamalek, another CDPR veteran with nine years of writing experience.
Sources indicate Dawnwalker will feature comparable scope to The Witcher 3's Blood and Wine expansion while offering enhanced narrative flexibility. The development team prioritizes player choice and replayability through branching storylines and gameplay systems.
"Our goal is to craft an RPG that rewards experimentation and offers meaningful choices with consequences," Tomaszkiewicz explained earlier this year. "After working diligently behind the scenes, we're eager to finally showcase what our talented team has been building."
