Beam On: A Star Forest Adventure is a charming endless flyer designed to introduce the virtual band, Star Forest. Think Flappy Bird meets a touch of Jetpack Joyride; you tap to navigate your character, using a limited-use jetpack for precision maneuvers. Currently available on the iOS App Store, this game, while seemingly simple, cleverly showcases the band's style.

Initially, Beam On might appear unremarkable, a typical endless runner. However, its unique connection to Star Forest elevates it. Star Forest, similar in concept to Gorillaz, is a virtual band, and Beam On serves as a fun companion piece to their latest music video.

Gameplay is straightforward: avoid obstacles by tapping to rise and fall, employing the jetpack for tighter control. The visuals are pleasingly retro, and the music effectively introduces the band's sound. While not groundbreaking in design, its simplicity and charm are effective.

Primarily targeting kids with its cute aesthetic and upbeat music, Beam On also appeals to adults seeking a less exploitative Flappy Bird-style experience. It's a refreshing take on the genre, and a clever promotional tool.

While not a revolutionary game, Beam On's innovative approach to band promotion is noteworthy. If this isn't quite your style, explore our weekly roundup of the top five new mobile games for more options. Discover fantastic new releases from the past week!
