First Bird Pokémon Arrives in Pokémon GO at Catch Mastery Event!
If you're a Pokémon GO enthusiast, you're in for a treat with the upcoming events. The game is already bustling with activities like the Festival of Colors and the Might and Mastery event, and the Catch Mastery event is set to add even more excitement as a part of the Might and Mastery.
Catch Mastery Brings the First Birdie for Pokémon GO!
Mark your calendars for the Catch Mastery event on March 16th, running from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. This event celebrates Archen, the First Bird Pokémon. During the event, you'll encounter wild spawns of Omanyte and Kabuto, and keep your eyes peeled for their Shiny variants.
Archen won't just be appearing in the wild; you can also snag it as a Field Research reward with an enhanced chance of encountering its Shiny form. The event sweetens the deal with some fantastic XP bonuses: you'll earn double XP for Nice Throws or better, and also for Curveball Throws.
Additionally, there's Timed Research focused on catching Rock-types. If you're up for the challenge, you can complete up to 10 sets of tasks, potentially leading to a whopping 40 encounters with Archen.
The Mega Absol Raid Day Is Also Happening Soon
Following the Catch Mastery event, don't miss out on the Mega Absol Raid Day on March 23rd from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Absol will debut a new Charged Attack, Brutal Swing, which will be permanently available post-event, delivering 55 power in Trainer Battles and 65 power in gyms and raids.
In preparation for the event, from March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT to March 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PDT, the Remote Raid Pass limit will temporarily increase to 20. You'll also have the opportunity to collect up to five additional free Raid Passes by spinning Gym Photo Discs, giving you a total of six for the day.
If you haven't yet, check out Pokémon GO on the Google Play Store and join the fun.
