Black Ops 6 Zombies Mode's New Map May Remove or Reduce Amalgams
As revealed by developer Treyarch, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to introduce an exciting new Zombies map in the near future. Dive into the details about the Mansion and what's in store for fans!
Black Ops 6 Gets New Zombies Map
No Amalgams Here
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is expanding its round-based survival mode with a brand new Zombies map, marking the fifth addition to the game. A sneak peek was shared via the official Call of Duty X (formerly Twitter) account and Black Ops 6 developer Treyarch Studio's X account. The post, dated March 12, 2025, features an image of a grand mansion showing visible damage, flaming army car wreckage, dark puffs of black smoke, and internal fires.
The caption accompanying the image reads, "Personal log. Edward Richtoften recording…" with a "#Zombies" hashtag. Edward "Eddie" Richtoften, a familiar face in the series, played a significant role in Call of Duty: Cold War. Given that Black Ops 6 is a remake of this title, it's no surprise to see Eddie making a return.
Eagle-eyed fans have identified the map as the Mansion from Liberty Falls, set in February 1991, as indicated on the teaser image. This timeline aligns with the narrative from the previous Black Ops 6 Zombies map, The Tomb, suggesting a continuation of the story.
Another notable feature of this map is the absence of Amalgam enemies, as confirmed by Treyarch on their Instagram account. When a user commented, "cannot wait to feel the wrath of 20 amalgams on this map too," the developers responded with a simple "Nope." Amalgams, known for their high HP and powerful attacks, are Elite class enemies. Their exclusion from this map promises a smoother gameplay experience for players.
