Jack Quaid, star of The Boys, has expressed his strong desire to star in a BioShock movie adaptation. In a recent Reddit AMA promoting his new film, Novocaine, Quaid cited BioShock as one of his all-time favorite games, highlighting its rich lore as ideal material for a film or television series. He stated, "I would actually love to be in a live-action adaptation of BioShock – one of my favorite games of all time. I think there's such a rich lore to that game that could be explored in a TV or movie adaptation."

However, the BioShock movie's production status remains uncertain. Last July, producer Roy Lee revealed that following leadership changes at Netflix, the project underwent a "reconfiguration," resulting in a smaller-scale, "more personal" film due to budget constraints. Despite these changes, Francis Lawrence, director of The Hunger Games, remains attached to the project.

Interestingly, Quaid's resemblance to Max Payne has been noted by fans, leading to comparisons between his new action film and the Max Payne series. While Quaid acknowledges the resemblance and his appreciation for Rockstar Games, he admits to never having played the Max Payne games, adding it to his gaming to-do list.

Beyond BioShock, Quaid revealed his passion for FromSoftware titles, specifically mentioning his recent completion of Bloodborne and Sekiro, and his ongoing foray into Elden Ring. He confessed to using Reddit extensively for tips and strategies to conquer FromSoftware's notoriously challenging bosses, showcasing his dedication to the genre. He concluded, "I'm a huge video game nerd… I love how challenging the games are – it took me a while to get into them, but now I'm obsessed.”
