Brok the InvestiGator's Holiday Surprise: A Free Visual Novel Spin-off!
Get ready for a paw-some Christmas adventure! Brok the InvestiGator, the action-adventure game starring a certain reptilian detective, is getting a free, hour-long visual novel spin-off. This prequel to the main game offers a heartwarming Christmas story, but don't expect any punching or kicking – this is a completely different kind of adventure.
In Brok Natal Tail Christmas, players will follow Graff and Ott as they navigate a twisted version of Christmas, known as Natal Untail, in their world of Atlasia. With a little help from Brok, they'll discover the true meaning of the holiday season.
While this isn't a full-fledged game, the one-hour playtime makes it a perfect stocking stuffer. It also marks the debut of Cowcat's Brokvn Engine and showcases the developer's willingness to experiment with new genres.

A Point-and-Click Christmas Treat
Given that it's free and a delightful holiday gift for Brok fans, criticizing its short length feels unfair. Cowcat's decision to explore a new genre instead of simply rehashing the original gameplay is commendable.
There's little risk in trying Brok Natal Tail Christmas. Unless you actively dislike visual novels, there's no reason not to give this unique experience a shot.
Feeling festive and ready for more point-and-click adventures? Dive into the spooky world of Darkside Detective (check out our review!), or unwind with the best mobile games of 2024.
