Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Adding Challenge Tracker
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Challenge Tracking Feature Confirmed
Treyarch has confirmed development of an in-game challenge tracker for Black Ops 6, addressing player concerns about its absence. This feature, present in 2023's Modern Warfare 3, was notably missing from Black Ops 6's launch. While a release date remains unannounced, its inclusion is anticipated with the upcoming Season 2 update later this month.
Recent Black Ops 6 Updates and Community Feedback
A January 9th update included various improvements, notably addressing UI and audio bugs and boosting XP rewards for the Red Light, Green Light mode. Significant changes also reverted controversial Zombies mode alterations from a January 3rd patch, restoring the original round timing and zombie spawn mechanics in Directed Mode following player feedback.
Challenge Tracking Feature Under Development
Treyarch's confirmation of the challenge tracker came via a Twitter response to a player inquiry. The studio stated the feature is "currently in the works." The absence of this popular Modern Warfare 3 feature had disappointed many Black Ops 6 players, especially those pursuing Mastery camos. The anticipated functionality mirrors Modern Warfare 3's system, providing real-time challenge progress tracking within the game's UI.
Additional Planned Improvements
Treyarch also confirmed development of separate HUD settings for Multiplayer and Zombies modes, responding to player requests for greater customization. This feature is also "in the works."
