How To Collect Mineral Samples Using the Plasma Burst Laser in Fortnite Chapter 6
The Wanted: Joss Outlaw Quests in *Fortnite* Chapter 6, Season 2 are a thrilling challenge for players. The Big Dill challenge has already stirred up excitement, but there's more to come. Here's a detailed guide on how to collect mineral samples using the Plasma Burst Laser in *Fortnite*.
How To Find the Plasma Burst Laser in Fortnite
The Plasma Burst Laser, a new addition to the Lawless season, is essential for breaking into Vaults across the map. As an Epic item, it's not easy to find, but your best bet is to search Points of Interest (POIs) with Vaults, like Crime City, which is packed with Go Bags and Chests. Alternatively, you can purchase the Plasma Burst Laser at two Black Markets for 600 Gold each. The Black Market south of Seaport City is an option, but the one near Magic Mosses is more convenient, especially since the next challenge requires you to return to Joss' lab to analyze the mineral samples.

How To Collect Mineral Samples Using the Plasma Burst Laser on Stone Structures in Fortnite
Once you've secured the Plasma Burst Laser, your next task is to find a suitable stone structure. Not just any stone will suffice; you need one that can be destroyed. The Escapist's attempts on permanent stone structures were fruitless, indicating that you need to target a breakable piece of stone, something you could demolish with your Pickaxe.
Once you've located the right stone, aim your Plasma Burst Laser at it and fire away. The stone will eventually shatter, but don't expect the mineral samples to magically appear in your inventory. Instead, a small piece of rock will drop to the ground. You must interact with this rock to collect the mineral samples and complete the Quest.
With the samples in hand, you won't have to travel far to reach Joss' lab. The game will guide you to the exact spot inside the lab where you need to go. After interacting with the designated area, you'll earn additional XP and successfully wrap up the Wanted: Joss Outlaw Quests. You can then return to regular *Fortnite* gameplay and flaunt your newly unlocked items.
And that's how you collect mineral samples using the Plasma Burst Laser in *Fortnite* Chapter 6. For more exciting content, check out the rumored collaborations for the Lawless season.
*Fortnite is available to play on various platforms, including the Meta Quest 2 and 3.*
