Pick Up the Canker Side Quest

To initiate the "Canker" side quest, you'll need to have a conversation with Gules at Semine. The ideal time to pick up this quest is during the wedding of Lord Semine and Agnes, where you can easily find Gules drinking and start the quest. However, it's also available if you visit Semine earlier and find Gules on patrol. Simply ask him about his former bandit group and offer to help him eliminate the remaining threats. Canker, a former member of this group, becomes your first target.

Find and Kill Canker

Once you accept the quest, Canker's location will be marked on your map, situated north of Nebakov Mill. The route to this location often involves encounters with bandits who might attempt an ambush. You can choose to use stealth to avoid them, engage them in combat, or simply flee. While these random bandits aren't typically challenging, it's best to avoid unnecessary health loss before facing Canker.

Canker's bandit camp is nestled in the mountains and can be tricky to find due to a narrow gap you need to pass through, similar to accessing the Hermit's house during the "Wedding Crashers" quest. Prepare for combat before entering, as you'll face several bandits along with Canker. Depending on the order in which you take them down, some bandits might flee, but you'll need to kill most of them. Finish the Quest and Return to Gules

After defeating Canker and his companions, loot his body to obtain the Light Mace, which serves as proof of your success. Feel free to take any additional items from him as well. Once you've collected the mace, head back to Gules to officially complete the "Canker" quest.
