The Pokémon TCG Pocket Lapras EX Drop Event: A Comprehensive Guide
Pokémon TCG Pocket constantly expands its card roster. This guide covers the Lapras EX drop event, detailing how to participate and maximize your rewards.
Event Dates:
The Lapras EX event runs from November 5th to November 18th, 12:59 AM Eastern Time. Players can battle for new card variants and the sought-after Lapras EX. Additional rewards include Pack Hourglasses for opening more booster packs.
How to Participate:
- Ensure your Pokémon TCG Pocket app is updated.
- Navigate to the Battles tab and select Solo.
- Choose the "Lapras EX Drop Event" category.
Four AI battles await, each using a different Lapras EX deck. First-clear rewards and chance rewards are available for each battle, encouraging repeated playthroughs.

Note: While all battles offer a Promo Pack as a chance reward, only the Expert battle guarantees it. All decks are Water-type, making a Lightning-type deck advantageous.
Event Hourglasses:
Each battle consumes one Event stamina point, replenishing every 12 hours (maximum 5). Event Hourglasses refill stamina.
Recommended Decks and Strategies:
A Pikachu EX deck is highly effective due to Lightning-type attacks dealing extra damage to Water-type Pokémon. Consider using Helioptile/Heliolisk or Magnemite/Magneton lines for less rare card challenges.
Promo Pack Rewards:
Promo Packs contain one card each: Mankey, Pikachu, Clefairy, Butterfree, and Lapras EX (a new variant). Lapras EX stats: 140 HP, Bubble Drain (2 Water Energy, 1 Colorless Energy): 80 damage, heals 20 HP. 3 Retreat Cost.
