Complete Hollow Era Shinigami Progression Guide
Hollow Era is a Roblox sensation inspired directly by the iconic Bleach anime universe. This guide is tailored for players who choose the Shinigami (Soul Reaper) path—one of two core archetypes, with the other being Hollow. Ready your blade, channel your Reiatsu, and let’s explore this comprehensive Hollow Era Shinigami progression guide.
How to Become a Shinigami in Hollow Era
At the start of the game, you exist as a Soul Spirit. To become a Shinigami, seek out an NPC named the Hurt Shinigami, who offers you your first quest. Accepting it locks you into the Shinigami path—once chosen, you can no longer progress as a Hollow unless you later become a Visored.
During the initial Soul Reaper or Hollow selection, timing matters. Choosing Hollow simply requires breaking your chain, but if you opt for Shinigami, your chain will begin to break automatically every two minutes. If left unchecked, it will fully snap, transforming you into a Hollow permanently—at least until you use a resurrection method.

Hollow Era Shinigami Quests Guide
After accepting your role as a Shinigami, your first task involves purifying six Lost Souls. This introduces you to the core duties of a Soul Reaper: maintaining balance between life and death by cleansing spirits and battling Hollows.
Your next mission starts with delivering a letter to a Doctor near the hospital. This early phase is ideal for mastering your basic abilities. Consider purchasing a powerful sword from the Urakara Shop, and if the map feels too large, invest in fast travel options like the bus stop teleport ($200), or buy infinite fast travel for 149 Robux.
As you progress, quests are always marked with a red crosshair. These include defeating enemies like Hollows and Corrupted Shinigamis, gripping foes, and holding them in place. By level 15, you’ll unlock access to advanced paths like Vizard and Airwalk, opening up new gameplay mechanics and storylines.

Full Soul Reaper Skill Tree and Reiatsu
To maximize your Shinigami potential, strategic allocation of skill points is essential. Your Reiatsu Skill Tree features several branches, most notably Kido, a set of unique magical techniques exclusive to Shinigami.
Here's a breakdown of key nodes:
- Kido Nodes: Boost damage dealt by Kido skills.
- Reiatsu Nodes: Increase maximum Reiatsu capacity.
Below are some of the Kido techniques available:
- Caja Negacion: Fires a lightning beam; combines with Electric to spread electricity.
- Shakkaho: Launches a fiery energy ball that explodes on impact; pairs well with Ragdoll and Fire effects.
- Chain Bind: Summons chains to pull enemies closer.
- Prison of Light: Immobilizes enemies with six light rods—ideal for evasive targets.
- Thunder Sear: A slow-moving electric orb that damages and explodes upon contact—great for crowd control.
How to Get Shikai in Hollow Era
Reaching level 15 unlocks the ability to obtain your Shikai. Visit Urihiro and complete the Shikai Training quest by defeating Urahara Kisuke, who rewards you with 1,700 XP. Upon victory, you gain access to Shikai powers.

Using Shikai
Once unlocked, your weapon gains a randomized powerful ability. If unsatisfied, visit the Urahara Shop to re-roll your Shikai effect for in-game currency.
A Rage Bar fills as you deal or take damage. When full, press Y (default) to activate your Shikai mode. It deactivates when your Reiatsu runs dry or when you release the activation key.
Hollow Era Shikai Mastering
Your Shikai Mastery Level increases as you use Shikai skills. Each level grants visual effects and reduces the amount of Rage consumed during activation.
- Mastery Level 1 (1–149 Points): Transparent aura.
- Mastery Level 2 (150–299 Points): Brighter aura with particle effects.
- Mastery Level 3 (300–499 Points): Lightning boost.
- Mastery Level 4 (500+ Points): Zone of floating stones around you.
Becoming a Visored in Hollow Era
While choosing Shinigami locks you out of Hollow progression initially, becoming a Visored allows you to harness both sides. At level 50, you can pursue the Vizard fighting style, which blends Hollow and Shinigami powers.
Visit the Vizard’s Warehouse to begin this journey. You must defeat the King of Hueco Mundo, who has a 1% drop rate for the Hogyoku—an artifact that helps you transcend barriers between Hollow and Shinigami.
This marks the beginning of the Visored transformation arc, unlocking hybrid abilities and deeper customization.

Hollow Era Visored Mastering
As a Visored, you gain significant combat advantages:
- Mask Control: Reduces the risk of being overtaken by your Hollow instincts.
- Visored Node: Extends mask duration and boosts damage while using Hollow powers.
Visored Abilities in Hollow Era
- Hollow Mask: Grants command over your inner Hollow and lets you summon the mask at will.
- Cero: Charge and fire a devastating beam of Reiatsu.
- Final Cero: Pin enemies down and unleash a crushing attack from above.
- Vasto Rage: Transform into a powerful Hollow form for a limited time—unleashing raw destructive power.
What About Hollow Era Bankai?
As of now, Bankai is not yet implemented in Hollow Era. However, given the game's popularity, it’s likely to appear in future updates. Stay tuned for announcements from the developers.
