Crafting Artian Weapons Guide for Monster Hunter Wilds
Curious about Artian weapons in *Monster Hunter Wilds*? These innovative weapons are a fresh addition to the game, offering players the ability to craft unique weapons with customizable stats and elements. Keep in mind, Artian weapons are a late-game feature, so let's dive into the details you need to know.
How to Craft Artian Weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds
The journey to crafting Artian weapons begins with unlocking the feature. To do this, you must first complete the main story and achieve High Rank status. Then, you'll need to take on and defeat your first Tempered monster. We won't give away which monster it is, but rest assured, you'll recognize it by the NPCs' comments on its formidable appearance and numerous scars.
After conquering this formidable foe, Gemma will initiate a conversation about Artian weapons, triggering a tutorial that introduces you to their crafting. Gemma will explain that each weapon type requires three components, each with its own rarity value, element type, and Artian bonus. To craft a weapon, you'll need at least one component of each type, but the intricacies don't stop there.
Components must share the same rarity value to be compatible. The elemental effect of your weapon is determined by the predominant element among your components. For instance, if you use two water components and one lightning component, your weapon will be imbued with water. Using three water components will enhance the water infusion, while using three different elements will result in no elemental infusion at all.
The Artian bonus provides either an attack boost, increasing your weapon's damage output, or an affinity boost, which enhances your critical hit chance. Your choice here depends on your preferred playstyle. To proceed with crafting, you'll need to gather Artian materials.
How to Get Artian Materials in Monster Hunter Wilds
Acquiring Artian materials is straightforward: hunt Tempered monsters in High Rank areas. After defeating your first Tempered monster, one or two more will typically appear in each area. You'll receive notifications when one is nearby, and they're easily identifiable on the map by their blue outlines.
By defeating or capturing these Tempered monsters, you'll earn a few Artian parts. Continue farming these monsters to accumulate the materials you need. You'll find these parts listed among your main mission rewards and decorations. As your hunter rank increases, the rarity of these parts will also improve, naturally progressing as you advance.
It's worth noting that there doesn't seem to be a direct correlation between the monster you hunt and the specific types of Artian drops you receive. Therefore, you can focus on hunting the monsters you enjoy fighting or those you need parts from for other weapons or armor pieces.
