Darkhold Battle Pass Arrives for Marvel Rivals Season 1
Marvel Rivals Season 1: A Deep Dive into the Eternal Night Falls Battle Pass
NetEase Games unveiled the Darkhold battle pass for Marvel Rivals' Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, showcasing a dark and gothic theme. The season pits the Fantastic Four against Dracula, who has ensnared Doctor Strange. Launching January 10th at 1 AM PST, this season promises thrilling gameplay.
The battle pass, priced at 990 Lattice (approximately $10), offers substantial rewards. Completion grants 600 Lattice and 600 Units, usable for future cosmetics or battle passes. Ten exclusive skins headline the rewards, alongside sprays, nameplates, emotes, and MVP animations. A key advantage: the pass doesn't expire; players can complete it at their own pace.
The trailer highlights several standout skins: Magneto's King Magnus attire (House of M inspired), Rocket Raccoon's Western bounty hunter look, and Iron Man's Dark Souls-esque Blood Edge Armor. Peni Parker sports a vibrant blue and white suit, while Namor dons a green and gold costume.
Season 1 Battle Pass Skins:
- Loki – All-Butcher
- Moon Knight – Blood Moon Knight
- Rocket Raccoon – Bounty Hunter
- Peni Parker – Blue Tarantula
- Magneto – King Magnus
- Namor – Savage Sub-Mariner
- Iron Man – Blood Edge Armor
- Adam Warlock – Blood Soul
- Scarlet Witch – Emporium Matron
- Wolverine – Blood Berserker
The season's aesthetic is decidedly dark, with a blood moon casting a sinister glow over New York City. Wolverine's skin evokes Van Helsing, while Loki's All-Butcher outfit and Moon Knight's black and white costume amplify the gothic feel. Scarlet Witch and Adam Warlock maintain their signature styles with dark twists.
Interestingly, despite the Fantastic Four's central role, their skins are absent from the battle pass. While Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic debut in Season 1, their cosmetics will be available separately in the in-game shop. This omission has sparked some discussion among fans, but the overall anticipation for the season's content remains high. The community eagerly awaits NetEase Games' next move.
