Days Gone Remastered Unveiled, Scheduled for April 2025 Launch
Days Gone Remastered: Enhanced PS5 Experience with New Modes and Features
Bend Studio's post-apocalyptic adventure, Days Gone, is getting a remastered release for the PlayStation 5, boasting a range of new features and enhancements. Announced during Sony's February 2025 State of Play, this upgraded version offers VRR and PS5 Pro support, but the real highlights are its new gameplay additions.
Key new features include permadeath and speedrun modes, a significantly improved photo mode, and expanded accessibility options. A standout addition is Horde Assault, a unique arcade mode challenging players with larger-than-ever Freaker hordes. Deacon St. John will need all his skills!
Days Gone Remastered arrives on April 25, 2025. PS4 owners can upgrade for $10. Watch the debut trailer below:
This release marks another step in Sony's initiative to bring enhanced PS4 titles to PS5 players. Joining other upgraded games like The Last of Us Part I and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, Days Gone Remastered promises a visually stunning and mechanically refined experience.
PC players aren't left out. The $10 Broken Roads DLC will bring the new modes, enhanced photo mode, DualSense support (where applicable), and accessibility features to the PC version.
A recent PlayStation Blog post delves deeper into the improvements. Bend Studio emphasizes that the PS5 version was built from the ground up, offering optimized visuals selectable in Performance or Quality modes. PS5 Pro users will experience further visual enhancements and take full advantage of the DualSense controller's haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
Days Gone Remastered will be available for $49.99. Pre-orders begin tomorrow, including eight PSN avatars and five early in-game unlocks as pre-order bonuses. For a complete recap of the State of Play announcements, check out our summary here.
