Dead Sails Kraken Boss Guide
Your journey begins in the heart of town, across from the Gun Store and Hospital, and in front of the Trading Hut. First, lighten your load by selling off any unnecessary items and gear up. I recommend a Rifle for its affordability at $75 and its ability to fend off enemies effectively, at least for a while. Don't forget to purchase coal to power your boat's old-school engine.

Your next destination is 10,000m away. Start your boat and set sail. While you can stop to engage and loot Zombies and Drowned, it might not be worth it due to the sparse valuables in the roadside houses. To restart your ship, simply add more coal. Ignore the worm on the right side and wait until you reach the second safe zone to sell your loot, but stay alert for Big Foot and Zombie mobs on both sides of the river.

After the second safe zone, you'll encounter burning buildings teeming with mobs. Clear them out if you're in a group, but solo players might find it inefficient due to the scattered spawn points. At around 12,000m, you'll find a castle-like house packed with Drowned but also valuable loot like Shotgun ammo. Use it wisely.

Dead Sails Kraken Tips And Tricks
The gameplay loop is straightforward: kill, loot, repeat, and hope for enemy defeat. To excel, leverage your boat as your primary inventory. Unload your bag upon returning to save time and space.

A valuable tip from my experience is stacking Zombies near the incinerator. Efficiency in loot management pays off, especially when fuel is scarce. Toss a few Zombies into the incinerator to refuel.

Be cautious in Sheriff's offices, where you'll often find a high concentration of mobs but also rewarding loot like weapons and ammo. I sustained my shotgun's use for a long time by having a friend clear the ground floor during our town sweeps.

Conserve your ammo, weapons, fuel, and medkits for the fortress at around 25,000m. It's under construction, making it a hotspot for ambushes. I recommend tackling it with at least three others, ideally a group of five. Be efficient with your loot collection here.

Avoid engaging Big Feet after 30,000m; they're formidable and ammo-intensive. Plan your stops carefully—loot isn't everything.
The town beyond 50,000m is a prime farming spot with at least two dozen Drowned and Zombies. It's an excellent place to gather corpses for fuel, especially if you have a team with Shotguns or Sawnoffs. Coordinate to efficiently load the bodies.

In the final safe zone, sell everything and stock up on ammo, weapons, and medkits. Don't skimp on taking down Zombies and Drowned; aim to have at least 8-10 corpses for fuel during the last leg of this guide. At around 100,000m, you'll reach open waters, signaling the imminent battle with the Kraken. The darkening skies will be your cue.

As the Kraken emerges, every player must target a tentacle. The boss has significant health, and each tentacle can cause damage if not dealt with. If you have five players, form a pentagram-like formation and focus on your assigned tentacle.

Watch out for the water splash attack, which inflicts AoE damage. It's signaled by the Kraken winding back and creating a water trail with its tentacle. Use medkits liberally as some damage is unavoidable.

Lastly, be mindful of the Roar AoE, which causes minor but unblockable damage and seems to buff the boss's damage slightly. It's indicated by white concentric circles emanating from the tentacle.

As you can see, it's not as daunting as it seems. That concludes my Dead Sails Kraken Guide. To conquer the boss even faster, consider using one of our Dead Sails codes to boost your journey. Good luck, and may your sails be ever smooth!
