Defeat R.E.P.O.'s Eye Monster: Peeper Strategy Guide
With 19 different kinds of monsters standing between you and your mission, *R.E.P.O.* keeps players on the edge of their seats. Each monster boasts a unique set of skills and attacks, capable of ending your level prematurely if you're not quick to react. Among these creatures is the Eye Monster, known as the Peeper. Here's a comprehensive guide on how to conquer the Peeper in *R.E.P.O.*.
How to Beat the Eye Monster (Peeper) in R.E.P.O.
The Peeper, a ceiling-dwelling enemy, is notorious for its stealthy nature, often spotting you before you even notice its presence. This giant eyeball spawns randomly across the map, staying closed until you inadvertently enter its vicinity.

Once the Peeper detects you, it opens its eye, locking your gaze and preventing you from looking away. This hypnotic stare inflicts two points of damage to your HP every second you remain connected. While the Peeper's damage output is relatively low, categorizing it in the lowest tier of danger, its disorienting effect can be perilous, especially when it zooms your POV onto the eyeball, hindering your ability to navigate or escape from other threats.
It's crucial to remember that a Peeper can spawn anywhere, so always be prepared to retreat or maneuver. The most effective strategy is to break the Peeper's line of sight by moving around a corner or through a door. If possible, shutting the door can disrupt its gaze; this can be challenging, but it's feasible. Enlisting a teammate to close the door for you can simplify this task, enabling you to break free from the Peeper's hypnotic grip. The key is to keep moving and stay calm, avoiding panic at all costs.

To eliminate a Peeper, you'll need to use the 'Gun', available for purchase at the Service Station for around $47K. Be prepared for the possibility that it might take several shots to bring down this eye monster. Although using the gun while under the Peeper's influence can be challenging, it's manageable if you maintain your composure. As with many challenges in *R.E.P.O.*, having a teammate by your side can significantly ease the task.
Now that you're equipped with the knowledge to tackle a Peeper, explore our other guides to enhance your safety and success in *R.E.P.O.*.
