Get Your Pet First things first, as soon as you load up Diablo 4 Season 7, head to the nearest town with a Wardrobe and interact with it to acquire your pet. Pets don't participate in battle, but they're invaluable for automatically collecting gold and materials, saving you time that you can spend focusing on combat and loot.

Grab Your Mercenaries If you own the Vessel of Hatred expansion, visit the Den to recruit a Mercenary. Solo players can have up to two Mercenaries, which not only simplifies leveling and combat but also allows you to build Rapport for additional rewards.

Follow the Seasonal Questline and Level Up Begin on Normal difficulty and follow the new seasonal questline in Diablo 4 Season 7, marked by green leaf icons on your map. This questline introduces new mechanics such as Headhunt zones, Grim Favors for the Tree of Whispers, and Witch powers. The questline is relatively short, featuring puzzles and requiring you to farm Favors in Headhunt zones. This method is also the fastest way to reach level 60. Keep defeating Headhunt zone bosses, collecting Favors, and enhancing your Witch powers.

Unlock Your Class Power A convenient feature this season is that you don't need to redo class-specific priority quests if you've completed them on a previous character. Simply log in with that character on the Eternal realm first. For example, if you're playing a Rogue in Season 7, log in with a pre-existing Rogue who has completed the priority quests. Then, log in with your new Season 7 Rogue, and your class power will unlock once you reach the required level.

Headhunt Zones While navigating Headhunt zones, make sure to complete the Whispers. There are always four active zones, and you should target the smallest, most compact ones for higher enemy density, allowing for quicker mob farming and Whisper completion. Prioritize the following Whisper quests:

  • Fugitive: Recover a head or destroy a husk by defeating Elites and interacting with roots.
  • Shepherd: Easily completed by escorting animals around the map.

Once you accumulate 10 Grim Favors, exchange them at the Tree of Whispers for a cache. Note that a Raven of the Tree is available in every Headhunt zone for turning in Favors without needing to return to the Tree of Whispers.

Witchcraft Powers At the Tree of Whispers, interact with the Altars of Witchcraft to purchase and upgrade Witchcraft powers using Restless Rot, obtained from killing Rot enemies. While the powers are affordable to buy, upgrading them is costly. Prioritize powers that boost your damage output. Some exclusive Witch powers can only be acquired at Forgotten Altars, which you might find in regular dungeons, Nightmare Dungeons, Pits, and Rootholds at Torment 1 difficulty. Increase your chances of encountering a Forgotten Altar by using a Draught of Whispers.

Rootholds Rootholds, a new dungeon type in Diablo 4 Season 7, are accessible by consuming a Whispering Wood, obtained from Whispers and Silent Chests. Rootholds operate like a rogue-lite mode, where you can activate negative modifiers that enhance loot quality. As you progress, open Exposed Roots for loot, with modifiers affecting the number and quality of roots. Save your Roothold keys for Torment 1 to maximize Ancestral loot acquisition.

Occult Gems Late in the game, you can craft Occult Gems by speaking with Gelena at the Tree of Whispers. These gems significantly outperform regular gems when slotted into your jewelry. Crafting Occult Gems is expensive, requiring ample Restless Rot and Heads, which drop from Roothold bosses and Fugitives in Headhunt zones. Using a Draught of Whispers can boost your chances of obtaining Heads from bosses.

Pits, Infernal Hordes, and Nightmare Dungeons Don't forget to include Pits and Nightmare Dungeons in your rotation. Nightmare Dungeons provide Glyphs, which you can level up in Pits. Additionally, farm Infernal Hordes for masterworking materials needed to enhance your Uniques.
