Diablo + Escape from Tarkov. Developer Wolcen announced “ExtrAction RPG” Project Pantheon
Wolcen Studio has revealed Project Pantheon, a free-to-play combat RPG blending the high-stakes thrill of extraction shooter mechanics with deep RPG combat. A closed alpha test begins January 25th for European players, expanding to North America on February 1st.
"We've combined the tension and rewarding risk of extraction shooters with the dynamic battles of combat RPGs," explains game director Andrei Cirkulete. The result? A captivating experience drawing inspiration from titles like Diablo and Escape from Tarkov. The developers are eager for player feedback to shape the game's development.
Players assume the role of a Death messenger, striving to restore order to a shattered world. Engage in thrilling battles against AI and other players across diverse maps. Successfully evacuate with your hard-earned trophies; fail, and lose everything.
Project Pantheon offers extensive customization options. Build your own base, personalize your equipment, and experiment with various playstyles. The game’s world draws inspiration from global mythologies, with player trading forming the core of its economy.
The initial adventure unfolds in "Destiny's Edge," a region inspired by Scandinavian legends. Despite being in early alpha, Wolcen Studio emphasizes active community involvement to refine and enhance Project Pantheon.
