This year's Pokémon Sleep winter holiday event brings two adorable Pokémon: Eevee in a Santa hat, Pawmi, and Alolan Vulpix! Let's dive into how to catch them.

Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix Debut in Pokémon Sleep

The holiday event, featuring a boosted chance to encounter Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix, runs the week of December 23rd, 2024. Shiny versions will also be available.

Catching Pawmi

Pawmi appears from 3 PM on December 23rd on Greengrass Isle, Snowdrop Tundra, and Old Gold Power Plant. Its boosted appearance chance is during the event week. Pawmi, Pawmo, and Pawmot have a Snoozing sleep type. While evolution via Candies is possible, sleep styles are only observed through wild encounters. A Snoozing sleep type (a common, light sleep) maximizes your chances, while a Balanced sleep type offers a lower probability.

Catching Alolan Vulpix

Alolan Vulpix, also appearing from 3 PM on December 23rd, is rarer, found only on Snowdrop Tundra. Alolan Vulpix and Alolan Ninetails have a Slumbering sleep type, requiring a deep, 8-hour sleep for optimal encounter rates. A Balanced sleep type may also yield results, though less frequently.

Best Island for the Holiday Event

For the highest chance of encountering both Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix, target Snowdrop Tundra during the event. However, be aware of the island's higher team requirements; prepare your team beforehand!
