Disney+ Extends Hit Animated Series "Spider-Man" With Multi-Season Renewal
Marvel's animated Spider-Man series, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, is already slated for three seasons on Disney+. Production is well underway, with Season 2 scripts completed and half the animatics finished, according to Marvel Studios' Brad Winderbaum. Season 3 has also received the green light.
Winderbaum, speaking to The Movie Podcast, expressed his enthusiasm for the series and the character development: "I've fallen so head over heels in love with these characters...we're halfway through the animatics. What [Jeff Trammell] is building brick by brick in this show starts to pay off...it just gets deeper and deeper in subsequent seasons." He mentioned upcoming meetings with Trammell to discuss Season 3's storyline, though release dates for Seasons 2 and 3 remain unannounced.
