Disney Pixel RPG is an upcoming retro-inspired title from the creators of Teppen
GungHo Entertainment, creators of the crossover card battler Teppen, is developing a retro-style RPG in collaboration with Disney. Disney Pixel RPG, launching later this year, will feature a vast roster of pixel art Disney characters.
Players can recruit and battle with iconic Disney characters across multiple game worlds, each presenting unique "battle, action, and rhythm" challenges. The game blends auto-battler mechanics with opportunities for direct player control. The storyline centers around battling rogue programs threatening these pixelated Disney worlds. Players can also create and customize their own characters to fight alongside their favorite Disney icons.
A Retro Revival
This isn't GungHo's first foray into large-franchise crossover games. Given Disney's extensive library, this project promises an even broader range of characters than previous endeavors.
