EA Launches Playtest for The Sims Spinoff, City Life Game with Friends

May 26,25

Electronic Arts, better known as EA, is rolling out an exciting playtest for their new mobile game, City Life Game with Friends, as part of their ambitious The Sims Project Rene. This isn't just any game; it's a unique opportunity for players to dive into EA's innovative vision and provide crucial feedback on the game's performance and player engagement.

Where Is the City Life Game with Friends Playtest Available?

The playtest is exclusively available on Android devices, but you'll need to ensure your phone is up to date with at least Android 12 and equipped with 4GB of RAM. Keep in mind, this playtest isn't open to everyone—it's a select group, so if you're lucky enough to be included, make the most of it!

You can enjoy the game until April 4th, 2025, but be aware of the different end times depending on your region. The playtest wraps up at 7 PM UTC, 6 AM AEST for those in Australia, and 3 AM PHT if you're in the Philippines. Once the clock hits those times, the game will shut down, and you'll need to uninstall it from your device.

Remember, this isn't the final product or a complete representation of what City Life Game with Friends will ultimately offer. It's more of a sneak peek into where EA might be steering the project. You can feel the excitement as EA experiments with a variety of fresh and engaging ideas.

What’s in Store?

Once you're in the game, you'll have the freedom to craft a character that truly reflects your style and vibe. The neighborhood is alive with activities waiting for you to explore. From browsing for new outfits at the Thrift Shop, relaxing at the Café, to participating in community events, there's something for everyone.

Collaborate with friends to organize block parties, make wishes at the plaza fountain, and embark on quests to find hidden collectibles. The game is designed to foster social interaction and community building, encouraging you to connect over shared interests in art, music, and meaningful conversations.

If this sounds like your kind of game, head over to the Google Play Store to check it out, but only if you're in one of the designated playtest regions. If not, stay tuned for more updates, or catch our next news on Bandai Namco's decision to end PAC-MAN Mobile on its 45th anniversary.
