ETE Chronicle:Re JP Server Pre-Registration Opens With A Very Different Game
The highly anticipated pre-registration for the Japanese server of ETE Chronicle: Re is now open! If you crave a game where you command badass girls across land, sea, and sky, your wait is over.
Let's recap: The original ETE Chronicle launched in Japan but received mixed reviews due to its unexpected turn-based gameplay, disappointing fans who anticipated fast-paced mecha action. In response, developers completely overhauled the game for its Chinese release, transforming it into a true action title. This updated version, ETE Chronicle: Re, replaces the original Japanese version, which will be shut down. Existing players who made in-app purchases will have their progress transferred to the new game.
A Future in Ruins: The Story
ETE Chronicle: Re plunges you into a chaotic future where humanity struggles for survival. The Yggdrasil Corporation, after harnessing extraterrestrial technology, created the Galar tactical exoskeleton and, using their orbital base Tenkyu, devastated the Earth. Humanity’s last hope? The Humanity Alliance, utilizing powerful E.T.E. combat machines piloted by skilled female operatives. As an enforcer, your decisions directly impact the battles and the fates of these characters.
ETE Chronicle: Re's battle system demands quick thinking and faster reflexes. Commanding four characters simultaneously in a half-real-time system requires constant strategic adaptation amidst enemy fire.
Some players remain skeptical, citing repetitive gameplay in the original due to a fixed enemy distance preventing flanking maneuvers and a simultaneous party movement system lacking individual character control. Will ETE Chronicle: Re address these concerns? Only time will tell.
Pre-register for ETE Chronicle: Re before August 18th for a chance to win one of five 2,000 yen Amazon gift certificates! Pre-registration is available on the official website and the Google Play Store.
