"Experience Eye-Controlled Driving with Open Drive, Now on Android Early Access"

What’s the Game About?

The game is built to adapt and let you play your way. You can use touch, keyboard and mouse, switch access, or a controller. It’s designed to be inclusive from the ground up.

Players who rely on alternative input methods like eye gaze can also enjoy the open-world driving game on mobile. Yes, the most exciting feature is the mobile-specific eye control. You get a compatible eye gaze camera which you can steer just by looking left or right.

It’s a major breakthrough for accessibility, especially for players with physical challenges who often can’t play games that only support touch or gamepad input. The feature works across all four of the game’s open worlds: Stunt, Speed, Snow, and Meadow.

Gameplay is incredibly flexible. You can relax and drive around collecting orbs. Or go for high scores and pull off daring jumps using the Roadster, Trickster, or Speedster. You can also adjust the speed to your preference. Check out the early access announcement trailers for Open Drive below.

Open Drive Is Now Out in Early Access

The game auto-detects whatever control method you’re using and adjusts accordingly. Switch Access on Android is fully supported.

Each input method in Open Drive has its own setup. For touch controls, you get ‘Precise’ and ‘Classic’ modes that let you steer by tapping or controlling the car directionally with a few taps.

Similarly, there are different setups for Switch Access, mouse, keyboard, and Android-compatible gamepad/controllers.

Open Drive is now live in early access on Android, though the eye control functionality isn’t fully available yet. Once the full version drops later this summer, you’ll be able to try it out for free. Right now, you can check it out on the Google Play Store if it sounds interesting to you.
