These Buddies not only add a touch of cuteness but also provide strategic advantages during gameplay.

The star of the "Hi, Buddy!" expansion is undoubtedly the Buddy System. These charming creatures, known as Buddies, come in two varieties: Common Buddies and the rarer Archon Buddies. Common Buddies, such as Buzzy, Morphdrake, Petal Peeper, Smokey, Snatchpaw, Squeaky, Sparky, and Zephy, are easier to capture and offer practical abilities. On the other hand, Archon Buddies, including Time Dominator and Storm Empress, are harder to come by but boast extraordinary powers. Time Dominator can manipulate the Safe Zone's position, while Storm Empress can unleash a devastating tornado that lifts and damages enemies over time.

To add these Buddies to your squad, you'll need Buddy Orbs, which can be found scattered across the map. The Sunder Realms map has undergone a significant overhaul, featuring new terrains, structures, and landmarks. Players can now enjoy sliding down ramps, taking cover in upgraded buildings, and discovering quirky additions like giant duck statues and floating boulders.

Another exciting addition is the Tactical Core system. As you progress and level up, you'll earn Trait points that allow you to enhance your hero's skills and unlock new abilities. However, to fully maximize these abilities, you'll need to collect Trait Activation Cards, so keep your eyes peeled for those.
