How to Fast Travel in Dynasty Warriors Origins
Dynasty Warriors: Origins, while not open-world, features a sizable map that expands as the game progresses. Early exploration is straightforward, but navigating the increasingly large map later becomes time-consuming, especially when tackling numerous side quests and skirmishes that often require backtracking. Fortunately, mastering fast travel significantly streamlines this process.
How to Utilize Fast Travel in Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Fast travel is enabled through Waymarks, accessible via the in-game map. To unlock a Waymark, simply approach it on the world map and press X (PlayStation) or A (Xbox). Once unlocked, it appears on the map screen, ready for instant travel.
Accessing the map is possible in two ways: interact with an unlocked Waymark on the world map, or pause the game and navigate to the Map menu using the shoulder buttons. PlayStation players can also quickly access the map by pressing the DualSense touchpad while on the world map.
The map screen displays unlocked Waymarks. Hovering over a Waymark reveals nearby key locations and battles. Press Square (PlayStation) or X (Xbox) to toggle information about these points of interest. Use Triangle (PlayStation) or Y (Xbox) to cycle through available battles and locations, then select the desired location to automatically move the cursor to the nearest Waymark. This efficient method significantly reduces travel time and enhances gameplay.
