Remedy announces that FBC: Firebreak will launch on June 17, 2025.

A session-based, multiplayer PvE experience in the Control universe, FBC: Firebreak offers replayable missions called Jobs. These present varied challenges, objectives, and environments, demanding teamwork and adaptability from players.

The title arrives on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 priced at $39.99 / €39.99 / £32.99. FBC: Firebreak will be available on PC Game Pass, Game Pass Ultimate, and the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog (Extra and Premium tiers) from day one, marking Remedy's debut as a self-published developer.

The studio also unveiled the FBC: Firebreak Deluxe Edition, priced at $49.99 / €49.99 / £39.99. This edition bundles exclusive cosmetics and premium voice packs. Owners of the standard version can upgrade for $10 / €10 / £7.

The FBC: Firebreak Deluxe Edition Contains:

"The Firestarter" & "The Pencil Pusher" Premium Voice Packs, the Apex Revision Firestarter Armor Set (Helmet, Body Armor, Gloves), the Scorched Remnant Double-Barrel Shotgun Skin, the Golden Firebreak Spray, and the Classified Requisition: "Firestarter" – a collection of 36 unlockable cosmetics including weapon skins, sprays, and armor sets

Here is an excerpt from the official description:

Introducing Requisitions, FBC: Firebreak's system for earning new gear and cosmetics simply by playing. Requisitions offer weapons, equipment, armor, sprays, and more, all unlocked using in-game currency earned through regular play. With no limited-time windows or rotating stores, once an item is in the game, it's permanently available.
For players seeking more personalization, Classified Requisitions provide premium cosmetics such as armor sets, custom voice packs, sprays, and weapon skins. These items are purchased with real money, are purely visual, have no effect on gameplay, and will always remain in the store. Learn more about how Requisitions function here.

Remedy has also detailed plans for post-launch support, with two new Jobs (missions) scheduled for 2025 and further updates planned for 2026. All future playable content, including Jobs, will be free for everyone. While cosmetic items will be sold, the developer assures none impact gameplay, and there will be no limited-time rotations or daily login incentives.

It's a productive period for Alan Wake creator Remedy, which has several projects in development. Alongside FBC: Firebreak, the studio is also working on Control 2 and the Max Payne and Max Payne 2 remake compilation.
