Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PC Specs Demand High-End Hardware for 4K

Square Enix has released updated PC specifications for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, highlighting the need for powerful hardware, especially for 4K resolution. The game, launching on PC on January 23rd, requires a high-end graphics card with 12-16GB VRAM for optimal 4K performance.

Key features of the PC version include DLSS upscaling, Shader Model 6.6 support, and DirectX 12 Ultimate. Square Enix strongly recommends a graphics card with 12GB to 16GB of VRAM for 4K gameplay. Minimum, recommended, and ultra settings are detailed below:

Important Notes:

  • 12GB or greater GPU VRAM is recommended for 4K. 16GB is preferred for optimal 4K performance across all settings.
  • Graphics cards must support Shader Model 6.6 or later.
  • The operating system must support DirectX 12 Ultimate.

The game will leverage these features for enhanced visuals, particularly improved lighting, shaders, and textures. While a Steam Deck optimization was previously mentioned, no further updates have been provided. The absence of DLC, like the Episode INTERmission for Remake, is due to Square Enix's focus on Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3.
