Charlie Cox's successful transition from Netflix to the MCU as Daredevil has sparked speculation about the potential return of other Defenders. Finn Jones, who portrayed Iron Fist, has expressed his eagerness to reprise the role, stating at the LaConve anime convention in Monterrey, NL, Mexico, "I’m here and I’m ready." Jones last played Danny Rand in Season 2 of the Iron Fist series and in The Defenders, where he teamed up with Daredevil/Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter).

Despite a mixed reception to his portrayal of Iron Fist, Jones remains hopeful. He acknowledged the criticism at the convention, saying, "There is a willingness for the fans to see that happen. There’s a lot of willingness for the fans to see that not happen as well. I’m very aware of the critiques of the character and my role in it. My response to that is like, give me a f***ing chance, man. I want to prove people wrong. So I would love to see that happen."

The Defenders' Netflix series, including Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage, are now officially part of the MCU canon, available on Disney+ alongside other MCU shows and films. Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, another Netflix alum, also appears in the upcoming series, Daredevil: Born Again, which continues the story from the Netflix version.
